The ability to convert ideas to
things is the secret of outward success.
- Henry Ward Beecher
While working in Student Council
for many years, I have learned the tools involved in making
government work in a theoretical sense. Student leaders learned
about problem solving by planning dances and holding pep rallies.
This year was different. Student Cabinet also became a force
in something that really "mattered".
Never before was I so proud than
when I saw students and faculty together expressing our fierce
disapproval with the condition of our school system. Our protests
proved that people care.
Many thanks could never be enough
to the people that have made my years at Reseda more enjoyable,
productive, and at times even bearable. My superb council
advisors Lucille Goldbeck, Sharon Romano, and June Stansbury;
the dedicated leaders that have comprised the cabinet; Cooperation
and help from the faculty, administration, and staff; and
the people was involved with in area and city wide councils.
- Thank you.
Student Leadership is taking a
new direction. New educationally based priorities, ideas,
and action will shape the 80's. I wish all of you success
and luck in attaining your goals in the years to come.
